I’ve been revisiting both these classic albums and I’ve been rooting more for The Infamous.

The insane production from Havoc.
The intense bars from Prodigy.
The dark atmosphere and outstanding storytelling throughout the album.

Can we also talk about how the albums tracks are sequenced too? Insane.

Then we got Illmatic — Seems to tick all the boxes too but I genuinely feel like The Infamous is far more grittier and the stories grasp and pull you in more.

What album do you think truly deserves the throne between the two & truly defines a hip-hop classic?

No lie The Infamous might be the best rap album ever

Illmatic is more concise as an album, I might prefer it slightly because of that. But The Infamous is much cooler. Both are unimpeachable and canonized. Kinda depends what side of the bed I wake up on tbh
