i’ve been okay with ads for years but they’ve been absolutely pushing it lately

the work around to skip in app is gone and any slightly long video has multiple inbetween now, s*** old youtube used to tell you where the ads were and they don’t even have the decency to do that now

ive been saying YouTube ads are extremely obnoxious for awhile

i try to listen to video essays or some true crime s*** when im at work to kill time or whatever and ill have to go all the way to my phone (cause it’s usually on a charger or some s*** while im working) and have to either wait it out or skip the next ad

i’d be semi-okay with it if they were like 10-15 second ads but sometimes they’re literally a minute or two long and you have no choice but to manually skip it

the internet was much more free and open 15 years ago than it is now. everythings been centralized and monetized since then. most the big public trackers have been shut down. not as easy for the regular person to find rips these days. etc

so to be like "oh you freeloaders don't like these crazy ads? well 15 years ago people used to pay for cds" is just ridiculous and irrelevant. especially cuz we literally had youtube 15 years ago.

The problem is we are led by the most greedy and the least noble

Companies don’t even care that they are making your life more miserable: as long as it equals more profit.

Capitalism should be all about corporations making our life better, and being financially rewarded for it.

Just pay up $14 a month and not only you’ll not have to deal with ads, but end up with a nice streaming service on top.
