Bro if it wasn’t YouTube it would be some other video streaming platform. They’re just a middleman.
I’ll definitely show support to the content creators, who actually spend their hard earned cash, and time, AND energy into making content for me to watch. I got no problem supporting my favorite artists, content creators, film makers, etc.
YouTube has not only made our life more miserable by sitting through more ads, but they want us to PAY to remove them. Do you not see the absurdity?
Guess what the reason was too? Some bozos in a business meeting it probably went something like this: “oh well, Hulu and all these other streaming platforms have ads, we might as well do it too, we’re missing out on potential millions every year. Who cares of our consumers lives are made more miserable, they’ll get used to it”
The sad part is we will get used to it. I’m mad now cause it’s fresh. But a year from now I won’t be. I’ll forget about it. BUT it’s not about that. It’s not about making human life slightly more miserable every year, to the point where it’s unnoticeable. Cause guess what before you know it 20 years flew by and you’re like “Damn America is kinda ASS now wtf happened?”

The problem is we are led by the most greedy and the least noble
Companies don’t even care that they are making your life more miserable: as long as it equals more profit.
Capitalism should be all about corporations making our life better, and being financially rewarded for it.
Its funny cuz in my business class they talk about how corporations create jobs and give back to the community they're in, so we should be grateful that we live in a capitalist society.
