I don’t think that’s what he was implying.

He was saying both artists are using collab projects to get themselves out of a recent PR disaster (Nazism & Pedophile Claims)

Also, this is the now the third time that Drake has chosen to drop a collab album in the fall after negative reception the previous summertime.

    Summer 2015: Ghostwriting Allegations

    • He wins the beef with Meek, but now people think he doesn’t write his own raps, so he drops a collab album with Future (who was arguably having the hottest summer that year) in September

Summer 2022: Poor Reception of Honestly, Nevermind

    • After CLB was received pretty mixed and then Honestly, Nevermind pretty much got panned in the public sphere, he turns to 21 Savage to drop a more traditional trap-centered collab album in November

Summer 2024: Losing the Kendrick Beef

    • I shouldn’t have to explain the outcome of that situation, but it’s clear that his place in rap was question and his reputation was legitimately damaged, and now he’s turning to Party to drop an R&B album in the fall

It definitely seems like strategy at this point from him. Bounce back from bad PR with a collab album with an artist that people love

So why didn’t he drop a collab album in 2018 after the Pusha beef? WATTBA is by far his weakest project especially considering the projects that came before and after were IYRTITL and Views. Anybody who thinks Drake is a pedophile won’t be persuaded to like him because of a collab album with Partynextdoor lmfao

He didn’t need to. He was already in the middle of an album rollout, and dropped Scorpion right after that beef, which was a huge album and had three of his biggest singles ever. And then on top of it he had Sicko Mode as well at the end of that summer.

You say that WATTBA is a weak project but that project was loved upon release, and it still is to this day.

I’m not saying that every person who believes the pedophile claims will instantly deny them after a Party collab album, but most people have short term memory, especially in today’s culture. A collab with an artist that people love is an easy way to make people forget or at the very least overlook the bad press you just got as an artist

ah yes the proper response to your place at the rap throne being questioned is to drop an R&B album with a B-list artist in terms of popularity

Maybe he's just wanted to do this for a long time and thats the vibe he's been feeling. FATD was filled with R&B joints.

It’s not even the same thing as regular eggs. Certainly isnt health wise either. The texture is firm and the yolk is almost red. Nothing better. But I find even the store bought “free range” eggs or whatever certifications they have are still nothing compared to getting eggs from a farm with like 20 or 30 chickens that are fed bread scraps and stuff.

You can right, we have chickens in Mississippi and those eggs are definitely the best but store bought I'm getting a dozen for $3 and I can't beat that price

It’s his least streamed album ever lmao. And I would say Drake is both more loved and more hated than PND. The Rnb section of Drake fans will never stop loving him anyways so he gains nothing by choosing to do an rnb only album. If he really wanted to do a collab album to distract from the beef he would collab with a moderately popular hip hop artist, not his own artist who makes rnb music lol

3$ for regular white eggs you mean? Or for the fancy free range store bought ones? When i go to my family’s farm I get the eggs for free

Right lmao dropping an Rnb album (that will NOT outperform a typical Drake album) is not going to help him. I think people need to realize Drake just makes music he wants to make, it’s not any more complicated than that. But now everything Drake does will be psychoanalyzed to hell

I'm not by my family, I get free range eggs for $3 at the local Sprouts

It's discounted because the local farmer produces too many eggs

Thats an excellent deal! Gotta be way healthier than the factory farm eggs too! There’s still a huge difference. Plus your supporting happy chickens :) you know what’s up!

It’s a pivot away. Nobody on planet Earth (besides Drake stans) wants to hear Drake rap right now. Releasing an R&B focused project will make some people remember why they fell in love with the dude’s music in the first place all those years ago

Nobody said it will outperform, but it is obviously and clearly a PR move, especially that this is the third time it’s playing out like this.

You are tripping if you think these superstar artists with literal machines behind them don’t make moves like this to adjust PR
