How when his past 3-4 albums have all been pretty much trashed by critics?
I wouldn’t consider metacritic averages in the 70s to be “trashed”. I personally don’t remember a lot of discussion about the critical response in 2018 and 2019. Could be misremembering tho

Not seen anyone mention metacritic in years, TLOP is his last album within the 70s range and even that is low compared to his prior albums which I can agree that people may have used them when discussing those albums.

Yeah jk just checked and I’m wrong af.
JIK definitely got trashed (deserved it tbh).
Ye also has a average in the 60s.
First it was critics that mattered then sales now it's "personal enjoyment"
Let's see how much further they can move the goalposts
Yup lol.

Pretty funny to see this having a lower score than ye though, can already tell half those ratings are based on the artist and not the actual music.

Sales>>>>>enjoyment

Definitely, I remember the P4K review of Ye being crazy. Almost no mentions of the actual music other than them saying his singing on Ghost Town was bad
Probably wasn’t a big talking point for TLOP, Ye, and JIK because a lot of fans agreed with the reviews at the time. This time the fans love the music so there’s a big disparity in opinion
yup, AOTY releasing Friday
🤰
they aren't and we aren't going to pretend they are.
Better average than Scorpion
critics keep telling me mint chocolate is a terrible flavor
Cookie dough sold 250k fw
Neither matter, it's about how many people call the album mid 5 seconds into an album release thread
No. How many times your album gets played in the whip and the barbershop matters the most.
true, we need to bring byke ktt critic consensus
@sab where are our kanyetothecritic threads
Neither really matter tbh. Cause white folk talking black music ain’t it cause most of the time the music don’t even matter but other outside s*** and sales don’t mean anything as fans. Like yeah it’s nice if you’re into numbers in general but the problem rises when you use sales as an argument for quality.

KTT be like: "Numbers don't lie."
Response:

Also KTT: "But that song came and went. That doesn't count."
This would mean every criticism about Drake on this website has no merit so ofcourse they can’t agree with this
