I think I appreciate the album especially for 'external of music' factors, like for what it stands for in Eminem's life and career
2/10 album

Always disliked it
I still don't understand how The Alchemist was Eminems DJ, but Eminem doesnt get him to produce an EP for him.

i'd say it's better than mbdtf
more raw lyricism and better rhyme schemes all around
em is elite
in New York city
if someone falls
there's a high chance that most people won't help that person, due to others walking past
this is called the bystander effect
BUT TODAY
WE'RE GONNA RISE UP AGAINST THE MAN
AND MAKE A NEW PATH, FEARLESSLY
RECOVERY IS A CLASSIC, WE'RE NOT SHEEP

Seduction, Going Through Changes, No Love, Not Afraid, So Bad and Talkin’ 2 Myself are genuinely great songs. They’re peppered with plenty of cringey lines (Not Afraid especially) but a few of them have inspiring messages. So Bad is a downright fun track with great song structure. I don’t really enjoy his rapping on Seduction and No Love, but the beats and hooks are dope. This album is definitely a guilty pleasure, I’m lowkey embarrassed my homies on Apple Music can see its in my regular rotation. I hadn’t listened to Eminem since 2013 but came back around to him recently. He’s totally sabotaged his effortless cool with his overly-technical style, his new music is wack. Recovery is totally overhated, and if you can place your perspective on Em aside the tracks I mentioned are pretty enjoyable
