Day 17: Beach House - Teen Dream

I'll keep it brief. I wanted to listen to some beautiful music in this nice winter day. Lush, warm, atmospheric, enchanting, dreamy, ethereal. Great vocals by the lead singer. Instrumentals are beautiful and hit hard and emotionally. A lot of build up to each of these songs and layers, love the layers.

Favorite songs: Zebra, Silver Soul, Walk in the Park, 10 Mile Stereo, Real Love and my favorite Take Care.

This is like a long dream. Perfect for a day you just want comfort and you can project it to anything emotional going on in your life. Just great music idk what else to say. Hasn't aged a day either and neither did the rest of Beach House's music. Makes me want to pack my bag, camp out for the night smoke something and just listen to this.

Edit: The transitions are great too.

I should listen to Once Twice Melody I kinda forgot to listen to the full album

this album was my summer album drivin to work listenin to this at like 6-7 am was memorable as hell for me

Genre is folk/slowcore. Most people recognize the first track (Alesund) as it’s been used in a lot of TV Shows/Movies

On March 25, 2021, Pitchfork published another article on seven more women who accused Kozelek of sexual misconduct. Several of these women alleged that, in separate incidences, Kozelek brought them back to a hotel room, promising them that the encounter would not be sexual, before later emerging from the bathroom unclothed or in underwear and then masturbating. He then allegedly groped some of these women despite repeated requests to stop, then repeatedly pressured them to have sexual intercourse with him until they either left or had s***with him. Pitchfork reported that Kozelek denied the allegations in a letter issued to them by his attorney.
