I remember listening after the VMAS that year and thinking it was okay but tbh i do just wonder hm of that was the novelty of a popstar/flaming lips collab track and trying to be a 2010s popular hipster

couldn't tell you

"I don't play no games, unless we're talking Fortnite"
The problem with Logic is, that he's talented at rapping and can flow. And can potentially be a great rapper. But he's such a dork! He has such a nerdy idea in mind of how good rap should sound like. And it's so lame!
Every "funny" moment here is like Marvel humor and straight cringe. Most of the mainstream attempts here Logic's verses are just so silly it really depends on the feature to take us out of this misery. And in its serious moments, it's about Logic dealing with criticism, so really it's sort of a diet Revival.
But unlike Revival this album isn't musically inept. Bc this actually has good beats and flows, ruined mostly by the writing. Also it's so whiny and goes on and on about Logic hating critics. This is like "Everybody", another Logic album that also sucks, where he just goes on and on about being biracial, and just hits you over the head with it, and it singlehandedly ruins the album.
Hating a little bit but this actually has a few good songs and I can imagine some fans really liking it.

Best: Homicide, Commando, Lost In Translation.
Worst: Clickbait, Mama / Show Love, Limitless, Keanu Reeves.
DORK/10
It's astonishing how this was the same dude that made Under Pressure and The Incredible True Story (his two standout albums of his career)
Might do that one next. But I was thinking Lil D***y instead. That'll probably be awful.
Do rap albums for a full week before trying other genres
Which D***y album should I listen to? the options are:
professional rapper has songs that are somewhat funny and enjoyable. I skimmed that Brain album though and jesus christ.
Kevin had that theme song when he was wrestling John Cena man wwe Was on some bullshit back in the day
got no idea about how none of that s*** sounds, but going strictly off the worst naming, number 3 seems to be the one
First one is an attempt at a normal album
Second is from the perspective of Lil D***y's brain
Third is songs from Dave (which are apparently awful)
Which D***y album should I listen to? the options are:
like as a child i was so dismissive of the baked potato till i tried that s***
now the baked potato is my favorite kind potato

Hammer was legit, Vanilla Ice is pretty cringe

Liking or disliking this album really depends on whether you find Lil D***y's humor funny or not. Basically his humor is being overly descriptive, self aware, edgy and self deprecating.
So yes, in a few songs here he goes overboard and it just kinda feels like blah blah blah about his d*** and anus or whatever. Like if you find Lil D***y painfully unfunny you'll listen to this and just get annoyed by his yapping.
However? Some of it is good? He can definitely rap and flow. Most of the beats are well produced. And some of the songs made me laugh. It's entertaining. And I was never into the show Dave (a friend showed me a couple of episodes) I expect if you like this show, you'll like these songs bc these are most likely climaxes of some episodes.
Even without that context, I was kinda enjoying it. Unlike other albums I listened to, Lil D***y has a sense of which music sounds good, he's witty and has funny bars. The question is only whether you like his shtick or not. So this is a hit or miss album, but I'm surprised to see such low ratings for it. This one is overhated.
OVERHATED/10
