yeah essentially. unless you want to argue semantics.

Oh I see, podiatry is actually a really important field. Ppl have no idea have many injuries stem from their feet. Btw any tips for preventing arch tightness when I'm playing tennis? I know it's from use/overuse but not sure how to solve. Do insoles actually work?

you should probably see an actual podiatrist. but yes insoles do work as long as they are modified for your foot/issue specifically. also google "stretches for plantar fasciitis" stretching can solve a majority of cases.

They're fine now (got mono so haven't played in like 3 weeks). Just got to be annoying in the middle of the season when I was playing more often. Is it worth it to check out insoles even if I'm getting pretty good support from my shoes? Like I guess what I mean is do insoles offer benefits other than support?

damn i had mono four or five years ago. s*** was awful. but 3 weeks in you should be getting better.

it's hard to answer your question without seeing your foot type/examining you lol. i prefer not to give specific advice b/c for each person it could be different. in general tho insoles are helpful for people who need support/redistribution of pressure from ground reactive forces.

also you can google tapings for plantar fascitis. "low dye taping" is commonly used.

Yea mono has been trash but I'm looking at it as an opportunity to rest and come back smarter (since I know I won't be stronger ) with more info like this as well as some other physical therapy prehab stuff I've been researching. Again thanks for the advice man, and good luck with the rest of your school / career
