I thought it was sorta compelling and was hopefully going somewhere other than an interpretive dance finale
Awkward watch with the gf after an argument... Forgot who I was putting on

i like it. wasn’t great or anything but it’s some solid surrealism that made for an interesting first watch.
I’m convinced this dude would of f***ed up being john malkovich had he directed it cause his movies are all just plain boring, pretentious and try way too hard to be abstract.
This was not a good movie.
Just watched it,read the book before.
I love the cinematography but every single plot line felt half assed.
Its very cliche to say the book is better but it really is.
It felt like he was going somewhere with the ideas presented in the book and he suddenly stopped.
The ending is very weird and mediocre,in the book he kills himself (at least i interpreted it that way)
Idk i have to sit this one out,its not awful but its really not this compelling story.
Its much better if you've read the book, can't imagine going in this blind
The ending could have been handled much better I feel. Unless that's exactly what's in the book
Nah the books ending hits sooo much better
thread been trash for 23 consecutive pages that gotta be a record in this sxn

Great a***ysis.
also did a fantastic series of videos on Synecdoche New York, really going into complete detail. He's rly good at a***yzing Kaufman, def pointed out a few details I didn't even catch yet with this one too
This any good?
You either gonna love it or hate it. I personally loved it but I enjoy Charlie’s work
