You're gonna like/dislike the final product regardless, but can we all just agree that hearing rough cuts of all these songs DRAMATICALLY plays a hand into how the final version of the songs are recieved.
Obviously that doesn't go for EVERY project the nigga drops, but for the majority of TLOP all the way to JIK it seems like alot of the criticisms basically boils down to something along the lines of "shits trash cause it's not the original version".
Not tryna argue whether that's true for the most part or not, just wanna know if anyone else has noticed that recently or even waaay back before TLOP.
Someone will always come up with narratives to hate on a Ye album tbh
Graduation it was too pop sounding
808s had too much autotune
Twisted Fantasy we heard all the songs already
Yeezus was better before Rick Rubin reduced it
Pablo isn't as good as SHMG
ye was rushed
JIK was better as Yandhi
and they still all classics
Anyone remember during the WTT era they were being really careful with stuff leaking out.
Dude got careless with his s*** since.

there's a yeezus version before rick Rubin?

Yeah the original was 3 and a half hours long

lol rather a download link, if that music exists online
And in the case of JIK, there isn't even a consistent "Yandhi" floating around, only compilations with different (fan-made) mixes based on different leaks. I see some people complain that Yandhi was better because it had Law of Attraction, or a 9 minutes long Alien with tons of features... But these were never going to end up on Yandhi anyway. Alien was still unfinished a while after Yandhi was supposed to come out, and Law of Attraction already started being made when Yandhi was becoming a Christian album in early 2019.
However I will stop listening to leaks anyway. It did spoil my experience of JIK somewhat. For instance I didn't listen to Use This Gospel as a fresh new song but couldn't help and compare it to Law of Attraction in my head.

TLOP was trash because he had metro and southside dumb it down for a 2017 audience instead of keeping it more interesting like he originally wanted
That’s why OG versions are better
People only like Yandhi because they hate JIK off rip because they find Jesus lyrics cringy

I mean ye was trash so that one makes sense
And the only thing about the rick rubin one was he should’ve made it better without cutting out SO much content
That album needed to be long and crazy
If we didn't get leaks we never would have gotten OG Law of Attraction, we would've been living in ignorance with Use This Gospel which imo is severely inferior. Sure people would've liked Use This Gospel because the idea of the song is great anyway but I'm kind of glad we heard the original too

One or two these are true tho
Nah this isn’t true at all it’s just the narrative you go with because you can’t accept that jesus is king wasn’t a great album
Yandhi would’ve been kanyes comeback album again but i guess he postponed the comeback until he runs for president and needs momentum

Imagine believing TLOP is trash
Poor guy

I mean I love the album, but almost every song I have on my phone is an edit
Especially fml, famous, and highlights, you can see the negative effects of Kanye dumming down the album
