Do you know how much courage it takes to say f*** this I’m going to focus on ME? Knowing how society will vilify you? Balls of steel. I sure couldn’t do it. “Deadbeats” need to be cut some slack, I view it as a form of radical self care and love. And if your heart wouldn’t be in it anyway, is it really fair to the child to stick around? It may hurt but sometimes you gotta do what’s best for everyone instead of what society tells you is right. The right decision isn’t always the easiest one.
