ehh i respect them
was gonna say though if that's the bar then thats relieved a lot of stress cause all this time i thought people were referring to starting family s*** when talking about this
at minimum you need to have
a car with drivers license
your own place
a bank account
a f***ing job
A bank account? People should have one at 16, if not earlier.
Depends person to person. I have friends in their 40s who are family-oriented and stable and others the same age who are still figuring out what they want out of life and make perceivably poor decisions.
Age rarely defines anything concretely; I like to use it as an indicator to base my initial judgement in. However, who has the authority to say when someone should be doing something by whatever age? Society will set its standards, but that does not mean someone is obligated to follow them (although they are not free of consequence).

I think as a man, not having a family (or at least kids) start lookin a lil odd in your late 30s

yeah thats a long time away, i am 21
my dad had me when he was 34 and my sister at 37, that's the time i'd like to go for
also you should do what makes you happy, like if i didnt want a family everyone can else can f*** off with their judgement. if you dont actually want a family no one elses opinion should matter
I think the moment I truly felt like an adult was when I turned 21. Before that, I was in this weird transitional phase between high school and adulthood.
35. Cause by then your age estimated to 40 if that makes sense. Plus we call billionaires in their 30s young
I know 30 year olds that have car house family etc and still act like children
There’s no age

Exactly, I don't get why people dread being 30+ so much. If anything im looking forward for it, seems like an age where you finally get some stability (personality wise, most of all)
(A bit unrelated to thread but just thinking out loud)
Keeping in touch with friends and meeting new people is a great way to remain 'youthful' imo. Feel like as we get older, the more isolated we become in our routines and consequently it will make us more distant and alienated from that excitement of our early years.
Basically keep putting yourself out there and maintain open to new experiences
There’s no age limit on having s*** figured out. I hate social media for having mfs thinking if you’re not set by your mid 20’s to 30 you’re a failure or some.
21 is official adult regardless if you're still living with your parents or if you got your own house and kids
28ish for standard.
But not everyone's life is standard. Some have it way worse or way better & it aint nothing to be ashamed of.

Having a family isnt nearly as stressed nowadays as i would say it was on our parents or at least grand parents imo
There's a subsect that even admires it, but of course it all depends on what u really want by whatever deadline.
