Long winded way to say “I love and support this song and it’s message”
or just acknowledging how pointless it is to get up in arms over this or songs like WAP.
It's just a fun, catchy song
Why are yall in the thread acting like this song is the first song to get this type of criticism? There are plenty of people tat criticize s*** like Sexyy Red and s*** like that, plenty of people the criticize “harmful” male rap lol are yall under a rock or something? You can like the song or not care about what people are suggesting or whatever but at least make assessments rooted in reality.
plus the fact that this song is viral so it's on more people's radar rn
Song been out two months but it’s only now an issue now that Drake is rumored to be featured on the remix

You guys think the world revolves around Drake holy s***. This has nothing to do with him.

Truth hurts
They’re right. I understand wanting to have fun and turn up but there has to be a balance. Song is terrible too.

Superb basically has the right idea here
Anti black at minimum.
Spend dat is fine
There’s been a trillion songs like it
Anti black?

I just don’t like the idea that because something is “the reality of the street” means it can’t be criticized. It is inherently a negative message especially if you consider the impressionable. Does that mean people can’t enjoy the song? Of course not. But any reasonable person should be able to understand the criticism regardless of if you enjoy the song or not. I don’t get how people can be like “I don’t see why people get so up in arms about this negative messaging” while also getting up in arms about their criticism. But what do I know I guess
And let me add, cause I’m sure it’s coming, that I understand some of us have to get it how they live. I have been there myself. But you gotta call a spade a spade at some point.
Send it to the club and radio DJs NOW!!!
https://twitter.com/KollegeKidd/status/2072581478421078325This actually goes
The thing is the audience at large wants fast food. The days where songs like “Doo Wop” could be seen as hits just arent here no more
@Albert_Grindstein
I mean let me make it clear, I’m not above an ignorant ass song. I’m just saying the criticism should be understood and expected.
im the blackest skinhead since india arie
a bar
I’ll let the women hash this one out tbh
song is ass
Thats the part dat actually got me.
But the women usually love that slower tempo, sleepy s*** so whatever...
song is ass

Seeing parents allow kids to be filmed singing and cursing that s*** is trash af.
I mean...my mom let me listen to and even buy degenerate music, but I never listened to that s*** in her presence and the radio station was definitely turned when certain songs came on. There was no glorifying of certain music in the household so certain values were definitely promoted and others were not.
Felony music got me dancing like Charlie from Peanuts
