onedeepThree artists do not constitute an era, especially in the mid-90s/00s when the mainstream was much broader and more diverse than it is today. They weren't at the forefront of their respective scenes the way child and teenage rappers are now, and there was NOTHING like the 'underground' of today, which is filled with children and teenagers, and stops listening to rappers after they turn 20

Rap being deemed a “young man’s game” based off the fact young black and brown kids live out a regular adult’s worth of trauma by the time they reach 18 is kinda overstated, MOST rappers even then still aint put out they first records until they was in they 20s.
