i don't think EA was a change in sound, especially compared to what WLR was. like yea it was kinda different but it was essentially still just uzi (who i love btw). i think EA deluxe was great for him, but yeah a WLR deluxe would've been too much of a backtrack even if i wanna hear a lot of those leaks/snippets

Yeah but what he said is if anything even more correct, Uzi kind of lost his nerve

Eternal Atake was exactly the album that Uzi had been working towards his whole career and i loved both it and the deluxe but he kind of let ppl dismiss EA proper in the wake of its release and he’s been aimless since

i see where ur coming from, and i agree he kinda lost his nerve and let the people wanting those old songs get to him for sure

even tho i do dig EA, i really appreciate uzi dropping those grail tier leaks and snippets. i just kinda wish he had waited longer to drop the deluxe, cuz you're right, it overshadowed EA and people immediately moved on instead of sitting with EA and giving it the chance

I was proven right? I've not changed my stance on it, I absolutely hate the album and I think it's atrocious. Yeah that's not the popular opinion but I quite frankly don't give a damn, my own opinion is what counts the most to me.

The voice he is using on almost all tracks, the weird noises, the beats.. It just doesn't connect with me at all. I genuinely dislike the album and see it as a meme/troll album. The only song I do like is Sky. The rest are not for me.

And I am not a Carti hater btw, I love S/T and I'm a big fan of Die Lit

I can definitely see why the sound of the album can be annoying for people. I tell folks the same thing with Earls music these days. Personally i find it very appealing and can easily connect with it and vibe but others won't and that's cool because it's not for them i guess
