F***ing wrenched my heart on first listen man
Just playing it staring at a blank wall with tears in my eyes
i cant stop listening to this. it feels like heat and melting and sweat and despair. f***ing wild. the instrumentation is astounding, some of my favorite in years. & i really love every verse on this. i think without question their best album. Its really a shame groggs isnt here anymore, may he rest in peace. I wonder how injury reserve will continue if they will, i hope they do. their growth has been beautiful to see really. S*** i remembeet when dentist office dropped. this project reallt keeps blowing me away with little moments every time i listen, really into the direction that they took with it. One of my favs of the year slready
My favs rn:
superman that
Postpostpartum
Wild wild west
Footwork in a forest fire
Singles are among the very best music I heard all year, so far they're still my fav tracks by far on here, the only ones coming somewhat near them are Top Picks and Wild West tbch
anyone else feel like a lot of tracks go on for too long / have too long outros and that the sequencing generally could've been better?
overall surprised how well the Zelooperz feature fits, "scared to have some kids because the world be going through it" is a great line, also my least fav beat on the album though, kinda boring "menacing rock" loop. Also not a big fan of the outro tbh feels like a weak attempt at a Futura Free remake but it's p anticlimactic after Knees
But all nitpicking (so far) aside this is creative as hell, amazing production and I'm a huge fan of Ritchie's vocals, he's almost doing like Kendrick levels of vocal acrobatics throughout and whatever he's doing - speaking, rapping, singing, always sounds amazing, same goes for Groggs though I honestly can't even differentiate who does what verse so far that well, they both mastered something unique with this for sure
Footwork in a Forest Fire destroys my mind a little bit every time I hear it
STOP DROP AND ROLLL
Bye Storm is magical
Honestly I thought it was a kinda underwhelming ending considering the rest of the album
if yall like this listen to this, its a glitch hop album that came out in 2008 insanely ahead of its time
u can hear the influence this had on them
rly good intro, wish the person who got their review pinned on the rym homepage watched this before writing (and did some research..)

What happened on RYM
rym is doing a rly good job recently with picking albums for the front page to highlight but the reviews they use to go along with it are sometimes whack... (to be fair, the vast majority of reviews on rym are whack)
The one recently on top of the page interpreted the whole album as mourning Groggs which is dumb as hell since almost all of it was completed before he died
Oh s*** and talking about rym, Sonemic interview out now

Knees, Superman that, top picks, Outside, and bye storm are really good. Rest of the tracks sound like a sound collage to me and I’m not too into that
Really solid album. A good swan song imo
