Kanye didn’t design YEEZY shoes. To me to say he was influential in shoes would be to say he made something that influenced something else. He had employees who designed shoes and their designs influenced people. Kanye is not a shoe designer.

They were in financial ruin and he created a company that would be useful as an asset. They wanted to see if he had grown as a leader and made him interim CEO. It wasn’t them begging for Steve back. They were desperate and wanted his company.

Kanye is definitely apart of the design process though. You think one man can run an entire brand? He's the head of his design team. If we're going by this logic then Steve Jobs and Walt Disney are the same since they didn't do all the work themselves. But they do get the credit because they were the leaders guiding the team
