Even just like two short bulletpoints of what you learned from this will do, nothing too crazy
Even just like two short bulletpoints of what you learned from this will do, nothing too crazy
Its a complex topic so its kindve hard to just give points without context. Basically dsm way of categorizing mental health is ripe with lots of social biases
If only that were the only problem
Modern psychiatry is about turning u into a drone. They pump u with meds with crazy side effects but say u cant smoke weed. Half the conclusions they make are entirely contextual to the point where theyre basically useless generalizations. Many of the "disorders" are super over diagnosed and have little biological basis
I still dont know if im rly bipolar, but i take the meds and stuff cus im pretty unhinged. But maybe thats just how im supposed to be, when im off the meds i put in work
No thanks
didnt watch but i know social media has def b******ized "psychology" for trends and "personality" in the last 5 to 8 years or so
and use it as either a blanket cure all or excuse all tool when really there so many different avenues, nuances and treatment styles in serious psych care and a***ysis
if you read the history of the DSM, you’ll soon realise it revolves around how society portrays mental illnesses and diagnosis in general. it is far from perfect and people put too much stock into them

Antipsychotics are neurotoxic so i wouldnt recommend anyone take them. Antidepressants are proven by studies to be no more beneficial than placebo
