The "Farnsworth House" in Chicago by the German-American architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. The transparent fascade gives you the feeling as if the building would hover above the ground. Furthermore it achieves a close relationship between the house and the nature. Thats an important concept of architecture in general. You need to connect a building with its surroundings. Mies van der Rohe is a master of minimalism. Less is more for him. And thats why he tried to only keep his focus on the signifcant things.
