wait let me go sell my iphone so i can go get an overpriced android just because i wanna be different and let it become unusable after a year

you could probably keep reflashing an os on it if you wanted. I feel like iPhones die with updates.
Ye it sucks. I’m too old to learn a whole new OS tho. I just copped an offline FLAC player for my music and called it a day

They’re both overpriced , but unlike Android , apple had planned obsolescence in its phones.

I literally had my iPhone 6s up until Christmas last year
was still a beast but my camera and battery were down bad

y do iPhones last longer then...
iPhone storage management is rudimentary but it gets the job done. Their focus is plug and play, I bet there’s a ton of users who never even touched the file directory
u don't really need to touch the file inventory because everything is so well integrated....

I download PDFs and websites so I can read stuff offline. You absolutely have to use file management to get to that stuff.

im sure the file manager is good enough to handle some pdfs...
if that's the gating feature pulling you to android then idk what to say
imagine managing your media
we buy more iCloud Storage
lmao I hit my 200gb storage limit
idk if I wanna upgrade to 1tb
Android does all these things seamlessly or by default and that's the whole point OP is making.
No local storage is a straight up travesty, I can't believe anyone would defend it...
'You wouldn't keep documents on your phone, what if you lose it?'
Anything at any moment can be lost, not sure what your point is.
I’m not trying to upload every file I have to iCloud.
Just tryna play the s*** I have without being online.
Right, that's that apple bs
If you could put stuff directly on your phone, then you wouldn't have to pay for iCloud storage!!
Oh also the albums i have are all one track since files doesnt let you skip between tracks so having everything split is kinda annoying
Lmfao that sounds like a struggle
I went from enjoying file management to it becoming a hassle. I don’t care about all that bs anymore 🤷🏽♂️ I still have a sweet spot for andriod but most people who use their phones do not care about that and just want easy accessibility and smooth experiences using apps and media.
Also andriod f***ing sucks at RAM management. It’s actually hilarious how a phone can have 8GB of ram vs and iphone with 4 and still not last as long and perform worse over extended periods. But again if you enjoy the management aspects of andriod that much then it’s for you. cause i did at one point
you could probably keep reflashing an os on it if you wanted. I feel like iPhones die with updates.
I also feel like each Android version is designed for each phone so updates actually really do improve Android phones.
Whereas iOS updates come with mandatory slowdowns if your phone is too old...
Not sure why Apple fans circle jerk over the 2 year guaranteed system updates.
1. Even if you're on an old version of Android, the phone still works perfectly fine and all the features are still there, so it's not like you end up with a brick after 2 years.
2. iOS updates literally make your phone perform worse if it doesn't have high specs.
3. Most people can't even comprehend the change log, why they act like they care about updates?
Like damn, you get a Apple phone, all of a sudden you're a tech guru like 'bro update it!!! They said it's important for the functionality!!!'
