I been drinking nonstop as I can't get to sleep for the life of me, so during a 24 hour period i be drinking like 5 full 2 litres of water?

Would you classify it as an addiction and is it dangerous to continue?

ChatGPT says i might be cooked :ariscared:

Risks of overhydration: Drinking 10–12 liters can overwhelm your kidneys’ ability to excrete water (they can clear about 0.8–1 liter per hour). This can lead to hyponatremia (dangerously low sodium levels in the blood), which can cause nausea, confusion, seizures, coma, and in severe cases, death.

Since you are awake 16 hours a day (assuming you sleep for 8 hours), your kidneys can only process 1 litre each hour. So, 10 is pushing it, but not lethal. It obviously is excessive though.

It f***s with your electrolytes man this is why you’re f***ing depressed. It’s not because you’re a f***ing virgin. It’s because you’re drinking f***ing 10 L of water a day. God dammit man.

He said 10 L in 24 hours, but there’s a non-0 probability that he’s not sleeping in part due to the fact that he’s drinking so much water as well so I mean like I don’t know

Your pee shouldn’t be clear, you’re losing a lot of necessary electrolytes.

Btw, America is the only country to push that 6-8+ cups / gallon of water a day nonsense, yet still one of the highest in the world in kidney failure
