prolly the future for bandcampers/pitchfork purists
you insane if you think this becoming mainstream lol
The more hate and ridicule, the faster it will accelerate in to mainstream, same way trap and SoundCloud rap blew up because of ridicule

I’m 21 and it feels like I’m literally living in the future I know this music is not for me but this is what kids and the generation after me will appreciate, it is beautiful

you have to have an abundant enough audience, d*** addled teens are in abundance now. The people who fw experimental electro-pop have been around for quite a few years, and so has these artists. I think its growing, but I dont see "soundcloud rap" growth.
I could be wrong tho

True also that they were linked and supported by mainstream artists
Travis Post Malone Uzi 21 all got to rub shoulders with Young Thug and Metro but kids like X and Kodak got it up from the mud
google 100 gecs look at what comes up
i know how they look lol. They got something special tho.
unless the next generation (and I dont just mean twitter niggas) is very LGBT flavored (and I dont mean that as an insult, that's just whos big in this genre), I dont see the personalities being engaging enough to spring this genre
Sophie, Dylan Brady, these aren't Lil Uzi Verts or XXXs, cults of personality. Those arent gripping RL personas. THAT's what they're gonna need to boom, not Matt Ox type kids or the figures they have now
