ya and he also is one of the only engineers who's developed a brand around himself. hip-hop fans don't identify many other engineers by name
OP you’ve changed your avi and your gimmick like 10 times in the last 3 days
Please go seek help
Idk what’s going on with you but it’s not good

he has social media clout because of his work
one of the most overrated out seriously lol
so much fun was mixed like s***e
i do not find him particularly special/noteworthy as an engineer, his mixes are good of course, but i don't really pick them out as sounding extra special or anything, not a knock on him though, he does exactly what he gets hired to do
what he is very good at is marketing himself, from his reddit and twitter presence, to his periscope setup stream that bedroom producers/artists still copy to this day, etc

Known contrarian btw
most vocals were too low
it's important to say that engineers, not only tumay, but Leslie Brathwaite, for example have to do what the artist wants. Lil Uzidoesn't like his music to be mixed with full stems, he likes it as a 2 track instrumental. So that comprimises a lot.
gain staging is very subjective. that's 90% the artist decisions
