When you have the top 5 conversation for MCs his name has to be in the discussion. He's a good and unique singer. He's a multi-instrumentalist who can play guitar, piano, saxophone, the flute, etc. He's a great producer and he actually produced every song on The Love Below outside of Roses. And he's incredibly versatile with the kind of music he's made ranging from straight southern rap to funk to experimental rap to pop to neo-soul to even avant-garde jazz:
Wait really? I never thought of that
Shame he never put out a solo project
I think he will at some point to be honest. But judging by his EP it probably won't be a hip hop one and it'll lean more jazz and soul so that's probably one reason why he's been putting it off. Along with the fact that he feels a lot of pressure to live up to the expectations
Yes, along with Anderson Paak
Both are can sing, rap, produce, play multiple instruments..
hes one of them
my favorite is el-p tho
the way he raps and produces at a top level since the 90s is unseen in hip hop
the god doesnt miss
I'm going to just go ahead and pick the rapper that's produced multiple classic albums

Andre has at least 4 classics under his belt, another great album, a very good EP, and he's consistently provided top notch feature performances over the years
