Had a debate with a friend if Iggy is a HOF. He has 3 rings, finals MVP, an all star, all defensive 1st and 2nd, all rookie 1st team.

    What you think?

    First ballot?

Now that’s debatable. I’m going with No. it depends on who’s eligible that year

He's been so impactful to every team he's hooped with, first ballot could be a stretch but I agree, depends on the class

There are players with less accolades that have made it into the HOF. Im suprised he is only a 1-Time All Star

Basketball HOF is pretty generous with the players they let in.

For every player that you can argue both ways, odds are they’ll make it

Iggy probably does make it but I don’t think I would place him in if that makes sense.

it is easier to get into than the MLB hall

there are some players i was surprised still wasn't in. a lot of the best cavs players in the 90s aren't in - mark price, larry nance sr, brad daugherty for example

tim hardaway sr still isnt in either over the anti-gay comments he made 15 years ago. they showed him in the crowd during the playoffs when hardaway jr was playing well, so maybe they plan on inducting him soon

For Iggy he seems like a pretty standup guy and won a FMVP along with 3 chips.

I just can’t see him not making it. Definitely not first ballot but he has a stronger case than Blake Piffen for example even with worse counting stats

only thing that gets him in is the finals MVP, imo. without that he doesn't make it. and tbh, his job was much easier given the fact that lebron was alone without kyrie and k love.

he held lebron to %40 shooting but lebron still had a near triple double that series if i remember. they crowded him with 2-3 defenders whenever the game slowed down and lebron tried to post up or take iggy off of the dribble. it was a big team effort to shut him down.

blake is prob a lock too, same with a guy like k love. blake will get his chip with the nets i think, and when he did play this past series he played well. in the reduced role he has now hes still rock solid and can contribute just like iggy did

They’re not going to check all this when they induct him fam

This context is cool and all but he still has the accolade

he shouldn't be but since the basketball hall of fame is so easy to make he will get in.
