    It's really really complex but from my understanding the basis of it is that all matter in the universe is made of vibrating strings .. so everything in the universe is just energy / vibrations / waves .. and it's one of the theories that describes how everything in the universe fundamentally functions .. it's fascinating cause string theory says there's like 11 total dimensions
