I'm just saying I haven't heard of this album until someone on Ktt mentioned it. Listened to it and I can't believe it came out in 2010. Easily ahead of its time and so damn good. Wondaland my favorite. But I rarely see this album get talked about
I saw ppl on here say it was the best album to drop in 2010 so idk
S***s amazing though
110%. listened to this last year out of sheer curiosity, i love dirty computer so wanted to see what this album is about. totally agreed with op, one of the best albums of the 2010s.
the cohesion is next level from track to track

She’s a critical acclaim darling and ArchAndroid is her most acclaimed album, not really
one of my favorite albums of all time and one of my most listened to this year
and by music circles, it's absolutely underrated. don't know why janelle doesn't have the same kind of fanbase as some certain other artists

Janelle has a very loyal cult/core base and her shows do well
one of my favorite three track runs ever
but you can't forget the intro to the album, she really started this s*** off with a bang!
It definitely came out at the wrong time, that album just wasn't where music was at that time.
i'd say she's critically acclaimed but as far as mainstream recognization she didn't really get massive notoriety until Dirty Computer
She reminded me so much of an updated Lauryn Hill on this project.. and she even spit a freestyle soundin like 3 staks… i just couldn’t believe it.
Nah. I remember when it dropped everyone was doing deep dive interpretations of the album. Album was influenced from greats like Stevie Wonder to David Bowie. It was critically acclaimed and everything. The public just doesn't f*** with Janelle Monae's music like that. They just like her aesthetic frfr.
