BEAM is probably a name you've seen popping up occasionally over the last year, and I've been hip to him for like five years now probably. Following his career, it's insane how much he's already done.
Let's start with origins.
Tyshane Thompson is the son of Reggaeton legend Papa San, and his early career (2010-2013ish) is inside of Christian hip hop, landing production credits with Lecrae, Andy Mineo, Xavier Omarr (then known as Spazzy Rocket/SPZRKT), as well as producing his father.
Probably one of his best track from this time, with production from him
a few years later, he joined the production duo 808xElite, which would mark his break into industry, landing placements with G Easy (So much better) and 2 Chainz (trap back, halo) as well as landing more placements within CHH. 808xELite is now disbanded for undisclosed reasons.
where things really started to pick up was around 2016, when Tyshane rebranded to BEAM.
BEAM continued to land CHH placements, but also began to work more prominently as a vocalist.
BEAM dropped a series of singles on Elevator, (Chatbout, LOAD, centipede) featuring a gritty style of trap which would go on to define his sound.
BEAM also had a standout performance on Andy Mineo and wordsplayed's 2017 mixtape Magic and Bird with production credits and a few vocal features as well.
BEAM would spend the next few years dropping loosies on soundcloud, going in a more explicit direction than his CHH contemporaries. Most likely putting in work behind the scenes as well.
2019 was a truly breakout year for BEAM.
He would release his EP 95 via Epic records, with production from Cardo, got invited to the Dreamville Sessions which produced Revenge of the Dreamers 2, and also landed production credits on 21 Savage's album i am > i was.
If that wasn't enough,Skrillex tapped BEAM to perform vocals on his track Mumbai Power
BEAM used 2020 to further push 95, dropping visuals for UNDA ARMOR, as well dropping a phenomenal Colors Show performance for the track 2 x 2
He also did a Tiny Desk Performance as well, featuring material from 95, as well as an unreleased track
During this time he caught the attention of YouTuber Patrick CC, who shouted him out in a couple videos.
Now hear we are in 2021, BEAM had a track on Patrick CC's compliation album, "Launch Sequence", a feature spot on Justin Bieber's album Justice, and the other day, it looks like he's featured on a track with Jay Electronica and Jay Z.
So what do y'all think? You think BEAM has star power potential, or do you think he's going to stay behind the scenes?
OP wrote his wiki

there's hella misogynistic posts in that thread and you decided to throw mud at ME for some mildly offensive and completely unrelated s***? I must've hit a nerve lmao
at least tag me when I'm in the thread... you made it look like I fueled that misogynistic s***...
I would like to point out that, since posting this, BEAM has now worked with Maroon 5, Pop Smoke, and Beyonce, just to name a few.
Looks like he's gone for a more beyond-the-scenes route, but it's cool to see him keep winning

Doesn't look like it... but at least you put a few of us on to him
it could still happen, frank ocean was songwriting and s*** before he blew up
BEAM also said in a recent AMA that he was experimenting with amapiano so he could land some major traction from that if he follows through
