Twitter/IG got artists fooled from what’s real life like wale, wiz , Sean , the weekend, uzi etc. get crazy likes and thumbs up 👍 but the music barely sticks at all now . Hot for a week or 2 then gone .
Wale got a song sticking for the first time in years. Weekend barely had a song stick for almost 3 years now but nobody gonna keep it real bout that.
i f***ed w him for a moment when I Decided. dropped but after a few weeks went on i came to the conclusion that he wasn't really saying anything that i wanted or needed to hear more than once tbh
and the un-promising title "Don Life" so far doesn't restore the feeling to me

That wiz song from the fast and furious movie was massive

2019-2020 almost .
now those Twitter and IG likes mean nothing. Artists and labels pay bots to push narratives on enemies or friends social media doesn’t equal sales or people listening or songs getting love in the streets to clubs or radio play .
A lot of people’s favorites are social media big and musically quiet right now but like I said people don’t wanna have that real talk .
The weekend in my top 10 of the decade but he ain’t had nothing pop off from features to regular songs for over 2 yrs but social media marketing would have you believe otherwise. 100k likes every tweet but the music ain’t sticking lately
Mad effortposts itt
Sean hasn't dropped in a minute but from his features and appearances recently he's in a good headspace and is rapping his ass off
I'm predicting his next album to be his best. S*** is quiet for him bc he isn't dropping

he literally just dropped 3 songs and they all flopped
Due to streaming and people banking more on social media than ever, I think music is losing its investability. Music labels are probably are getting smaller and smaller returns.
