Carti used 2 ride 4 SGP. One of his oldest songs, For My Set, uses the same drums as SGP’s mystikal maze. Carti started rapping in high school in Atlanta and Ethereal discovered him. For a while, Carti was just making songs w Ethereal in his studio, and then Carti joined awful records. Broke Boi was pretty big when Carti was w Awful.

Around this time, SGP came 2 Atlanta and we got s*** like Terror Gang and Uno and Fauni got their careers. Carti used 2 be cool w them (splur gang) but then one time at a concert, someone introduced him 2 A$AP Rocky. Rocky was f***in w him so much he decided 2 make Carti part of A$AP.

To distance himself from SGP, Carti dropped sum subs towards him, like on Vlone Thug. As he was lowkey blowing up , he also started to care less about the people he came up w. He didn’t pay Dro for his beats n got beef w him, n he tried 2 ignore the fact that he used 2 be Awful Records. He also started hangin out w the dude who shot Uno, who was his cousin. P much as soon as Carti got money and the fame he switched up on everybody.

So yeah, he been known as a snake. Carti still one of my favorite artists bc he makes dope music, but bro not a good person, and more ppl should know about it.
