I love Gaspar Noe’s works but I find Travis Scott music to be derivative drivel at best and modern soulless slop at worst.
Is it worth it just for some new Noe?

Damn see this why I fw Noe, he’s a man of taste (Modern Jam the only song I found interesting on Utopia)
also what’s ur fav noe movie?
Definitely LOVE. Although I watched CLIMAX while tripping and it was dope, LOVE is a one of one film, nothing else like it

I really enjoyed LOVE when I saw it earlier this year. I think my fav film of his is enter the void

Damn if Love is your fav then you’re definitely a true Noe-head

Irreversible is his best
Although I don’t see myself watching it again. I’m over that whole dark movie phase now but can’t deny that s*** was groundbreaking and was my gateway into indie s***

I don’t actually like Love
The Roger Ebert review for Irreversible is beautiful, really helped me contextualize everything
Climax is definitely my fav

I think Enter the Void is cool stylistically but I have not rewatched that film once since 2010 and have not wanted to check out anything since then since he everything afterwards looks like a progression of that if it makes sense
Carne and Irreversible were some truly fire, grimy s*** with compelling narratives. I hear he made something recently akin to Amour by Haneke but I forgot about it until now

I think Climax is absolutely worth a watch. Great dancing, and just a visceral nightmare. His improv approach captures some real magic.
Vortex is his version of Amour, yeah. I like that one a lot, too. Slow. Boring at points. But it had an effect on me when it was over.
couldn’t get into it, knowing Travis I’ll be watching a straight hour of ‘cool visuals’
I am interested in that infrared movie tho
