  • From Timbo’s production to the amount of legendary features (Eminem, Beyoncé, Aaliyah, Big Boi, Redman, Juve, BG, Da Brat, Lady Saw, MC Solaar, Lil Mo, Nicole). The album sounds like nothing else in her discography and really shows the strength of female artists during the time.

What do y’all think? I know most people prefer Supa Dupa Fly but Da Real World just sounds so futuristic and is aging gracefully. Everyone on the album brought their A game and I think it really shows how strong the producer/artist relationship was.

The beat switch on Busa Rhymes
All In My Grill, Hot Boyz, You Don’t Know
Beat Biters, Dangerous Mouth, Mr. DJ
Checking for You - Throw Up Your Hands
    She’s a B****, You Can’t Resist
    Crazy Feelings

Its very underrated,if Miss E can get so much love for basically being unconventional as hell,Da Real World should be recognized as a masterpiece in production. Also the fact that Missy had just as much style as she did substance.

Dope album. Sticken Chickens and All N My Grill some of my favs. They have vintage late 90s Beach Jeep R&B sound🔥🔥

Yes. Also, Missy Elliott is one of the best rappers of all time

Yeah. The Eminem track is crazy. the early placement on the album and heavy spotlight on Em is such a radical choice, it really stands out. All the features are great

I’m lowkey not as high on a couple of the more r&b tracks tbh, like the sound hasn’t aged badly or anything, obviously it was innovative with Tim starting to get into the middle eastern influenced pop sound

But I think Supa Dupa Fly sounds a little fresher and more balanced. This is a masterpiece though in its own right though
