when you first heard of Drake did you foresee him ever being this popular?
Kind of tbh lol he was always incredibly elite. He always sounded like one of the best out.
It was pretty clear once Ransom dropped, and once the OG forever leaked that he was on par with Lil Wayne even back then which to me felt like = superstar at the time
Like, he was already the guy who was an elite rapper that did the R&B stuff by the time SFG dropped.
Seen the entire run
Maybe a hot take, but I actually like Lose You more than Do Not Disturb (both are great songs tho)

idk if it's a "hot take" it's just preference. I like lose you more too. My personal Drake song for rap song of the decade though is probably 6pm in New York

Yesss 6 PM in New York is one of my fav rapping performances from him. The only reason I say it’s a hot take is because there seems to be an overwhelming amount of people online that talk about how amazing Do Not Disturb is/how “underrated” it is/etc. But I feel like Lose You is just as good but people just never seem to mention it ever.
Not really mad at that, but I'd put tracks like Over My Dead Body, Sandra's Rose, 5AM, Underground Kings, 4PM, 9AM and Deep Pockets over DND.
