I’m gonna be honest, I think this may be my 2nd favorite album by Kanye. It just has everything you could want: hard songs, emotional songs, insane production, etc.
At this moment, MBDTF is only higher than DONDA for me. How about y’all?
I realize it may be too early to tell, & my opinion may change, but this is how I’m feeling currently.
it’s definitely up there for me as well. i’m gonna give it a few before i officially place it, but i could for sure seeing it being top 3-4 for me

Man this makes me happy glad someone recognizes
That’s fr not bad at all
He’s got a top 1 or 2 discography in hip hop, and arguably top 10 in music period. So more than 20 years in the game (from producing starting point) and still being able to make an album this good when he really wants to is a testament to his ability.

Yessir very well said, I agree
Naw, not top 3. My top 3 is: MBDTF, Late Registration and The College Dropout.
It's top 5 though, along with Graduation.
No
This will be either my second or all-time favorite Kanye album.
I've been a fan since MBDTF, which is currently my favorite album.
This album has everything. No skips.
Some of Kanye's hardest songs
Some of Kanye's most beautiful
Some of Kanye's most introspective
I love this album.

Fenchie, ily bro. This is my thoughts exactly, and I’m so happy someone who was also around fro the MBDTF era thinks so as well
Absolutely no skips, OTG & IKGBOT are so f***ing hard & so much easier to digest than songs on Yeezus, and this album definitely has some of his most beautiful tracks like CTL JESUS LORD & MOON, and introspective as hell with all the lyrics about the effects his mom’s passing has had on him, while also being so open about depression & suicide. It’s just beautiful album
@Chitownative what are your thoughts fam?
Also, since I know you’re a OG Kanye fan & a Chitown native, how would you rank this album personally?
If I were to rank Donda rn it'd be:
LR
MBDTF
Grad
808's
CD
Yeezus
Donda
TLOP
Ye
JIK
Yeezus and Donda are neck-in-neck for me right now. This list changes frequently depending on my mood tho. It just doesn't touch the top 3 imo. Those albums are perfect in my eyes.
I’m confident it will be #1 for me.
This album has pieces of every solo album before it and has moments that are so beautiful my brain can barely comprehend when I’m listening. I’ve literally said to myself multiple times “is this real life?” when listening to the sounds and / or lyrics on Jail, Moon, Come to Life, Heaven and Hell, Jesus Lord, etc.
The sounds especially are magic to my ears on Donda. I’ve been a huge fan so many years now (not going to share lol) and I love every album, including JIK and Ye. But, sounds from Moon and Come to Life for example have only been as beautiful to me on a few other tracks in the past, e.g. Wolves, Use This Gospel, Lost In The World.
I’m not referring to amazing production because that’s almost every Kanye track for me, I’m referring to a feeling I get when those songs mentioned above hit my brain waves.
Way too much to unpack and I’m probably doing a terrible job articulating these intangibles.
Top 5-7 better than TLOP, ye, and jik

Omg bro
You are amazing & this is an amazing write up. I totally agree with everything you say, forreal. I’ve been a fan for over a decade now & this album is something special. What you just wrote encapsulates how I feel about DONDA as well. Ty for this
@fenchie you gotta read this man
