i played doom 1 and 2 growing up but i was so trash at them at the time haha. i'm older and better at games now (also playing on easy idgaf i find those games tough), and they're a blast. doom 1 has aged astoundingly well, plays better than a lot of games that succeeded it tbh

I like to do playthroughs on Hurt Me Plenty first and then do another playthrough on Ultra Violence with knowing most of the secrets and the way to finish the maps

i wish i had those skills lmao. i f***in suck at doom but i love playing it so i play it on easy. it's a breeze on easy, but it's a little overwhelming on normal at times, and i'm incapable of going any farther than normal lmao

I lowkey suck at FPS games tbh but classic Doom is different

I just focus on enemy priority (e.g. chaingunners/shotgunners first) and dodging projectiles

And I basically know how everything is programmed btw
