Was the scream part of that salvage or did that have to be recreated too? Im seeing people talk about the scream apparantly being from Dumb and Dumber?

The Dumb & Dumber sound effect thing was a rumor that I'm guessing started from someone thinking it was The Most Annoying Sound In The World slowed down, but it's not that, if anyone can point me towards a sound effect from the movie that fits I'd appreciate it, but it was never that one
As far as I can tell, the only difference is the 'ADVERTISEMENT' text in red, which 100% wasn't there in the original, and the book plug at the end, which may not have been there originally but I vaguely remember a big boom sound effect accompanied by text at the end, which would definitely fit that, but the red text definitely wasn't there

the book name was there, i remember searching it up and not being able to find anything. however the author name might not have been there, because if it was i would have been able to find these videos.

for the record, from my memory the sound at the end is about right. i don't remember it being "terrifying", more so just disturbing and weird.

I'll be honest man, at the time I remember it sounding like a pretty obviously timestretched sound effect and it didn't scare me, this really fits that bill
The shot of the family waving tho is still genuinely creepy as hell
yeah well it scared me cause it took me by surprise, but it's definitely not the same sound, that's what made that video special

Do you think everything past the footage of the family is a recreation?
As the guy who found the second half I can confirm that it is a genuine video from thegeniusmachine. I found it on the wayback machine. As for the scream idk if its the real scream but it sounds right to me

The dr dre hates fans video is not archived but there is an archived video from thegeniusmachine that contains the second half of dr dre hates fans. It's the same except it says "Advertisement" on the bottom left corner. To me the screamer sounds identical but people are saying that its not the same scream from the og video, so that's why I'm unsure.
