I agree that Drake is a clean guy and doesn't have many controversies that you can cancel him over. But I don't agree that he's "playing a character". That implies he's lying or isn't being completely honest in his lyrics which is most likely not true. Drake has always talked about how his lyrics reflect his real life and how he can't write about things that didn't happen. Even if you don't believe his word, we can compare bar for bar each line in his lyrics and compare it to his real life and you'll see how truthful his lyrics are.
