Drake was more consistent and good for MUCH longer than Eminem

Tho popularity and talent level at it’s peak, I would have to give it to Eminem

Royce a cuck for posting that

I don’t think Drake will ever have an album as big as Iceman again

All he has to do is change his sound like on some drastic Yeezus or Grad/808’s type s*** and mostly rap over whatever that sound is not sing

A Drake rock themed album would be interesting but he’d make it cringey with wearing studded wrist bands and s***

He running round like he KISS

i was thinking of making a thread about the current revisionist history around Eminem where people act like he was never good at all and I think thats just kinda stupid

Just sucked for 22 years solid. Sense of humor evaporated after 8 Mile but it came back just as suddenly on his last one imo.

It's funny because the NFR podcast JUST did a street interview in Toronto the other day doing Drake trivia and 75% of the people claimed they weren't Drake fans.

It was shocking af and the main people who vouched for Drake was a White girl and a few Indian and Somali looking dudes.

Ironically, I feel Black Americans are bigger Drake fans than non-Black Canadians on average, barring Desis.

You probably right. Somebody out there listening to him alot, apparently.

Yeah by the time Eminem Show came out I honestly couldnt believe how inescapable he was. Everybody and their mom and their moms mom was listening to him.

Closest thing to an Elvis/Beatles/MJ in my lifetime.

I was expecting a big crazy sounding Drake album in 2013 and eventually gave up on that dream but ngl MOH is close enough

Eminem Show era was so wild. How tf did he follow that up with Encore

Part of what made Eminem inescapable imo was the combination of raw undeniable skill and the Streisand effect. Worst thing you can do is tell your kids not to listen to a popular thing cus now they really will

  • May 27

Drake might be the first rapper ever who’s actually too big to fail pause

D**** I guess but man Encore was the biggest letdown of all time. College Dropout came along at the perfect time.

Also beats like Without Me and Business were laced with crack. I remember middle aged ladies that probably hadn't listened to rap since Raising Hell marveling at his flow lol.

In the original Drake pre mob boss following Kanye’s footsteps as mainstream unique guy trajectory Views From The 6 is his condensed rap instant classic and then he genre bends/switches sound completely for the next one

  • TheLostBoy

Yeah he hasn’t had a real hit since God’s Plan

Everything after 2018 is fake hits. One week hits

    Bot play for sure

If u go outside rn everyone is screaming beep beep baaaaby

Only similarity is that they both had the title for being the most famous rapper for a given period of time (drake from whatever year to present)
