There’s some duds on this but I gotta say overall yeah this album certified. What yall think?

There people that call Vol 1 by Jay a classic and I would agree but that s*** has some straight ass songs on it

A classic is more than its track list

The way a person can yell “hol up wait a minute...” and have an entire room scream the next 5 lines back in unison tells me yes

I’ve never heard anyone call Vol. 1 a classic. Vol. 2 yes but not Vol. 1.

In my book, he has 3 classics. RD, BP & TBA. 4:44 is pretty damn close if it won’t eventually be.

I understand. It’s just been such a wonderful feeling in the past to see an artist/group I love go out on a high note. Bowie, Mac Miller, Tribe etc.

It would be a tremendous shame if Jays final album ended up being MID. Doubtful that would end up happening though. Some of his work on A Written Testimony showed me he’s as sharp as ever.
