Although his talent with his words is top notch, is it fair to put him in the same category as Jay-Z, Eminem, Drake, Ice Cube, Kendrick etc. while having no albums out?

These are just a few of the rappers who have multiple albums and multiple songs (Nearly in the thousands) Who have had some dud songs/albums, yet still believed in the vision.

He has yet to put out a solo album, which makes it easier to write something spectacular in the span of 4-5 years for features, and even sometimes those are duds.

Depends on what your criteria is. Rapping ability alone? Yes he is. Total package? He’s not.

the love below’s technically a solo effort, it’s just one half of a double album. if him and big boi had released it on their own i think it’s a near undeniable classic

He is top 3 artistically.

He has no place in the top 10 oat at the moment. I can understand 20-25 range if people feel strongly about it.

There are a lot of people out there who believe so. I think he’s really great, just unfair to put him up there with the other rappers from his time in terms of musical output

He's a top tier rapper based on his talent.

But having no solo album makes it hard to rank him high.

Also, keeping it 100, Black Thought who also has no solo album has been dropping hotter verses/features than Andre for quite a while now.

All that typing and all you really had to do was just read the paragraph where it says “The Love Below” is considered a solo album but was forced to be bundled with Big Boi’s Speakerboxxx to sell more records, as per their label.

Which it did, becoming the highest selling hip hop album.

Andre wrote and produced the entirety of his album.

This is also my dilemma with this.
It’s easy to put out quality when you are only releasing 2-3 verses every 5 years. While his peers are putting out album after album, feat after feat. I guess it’s more of the rappers fault for over saturating

if biggie a top 5 rapper for most people with only 2 albums then andre can be one cus he has way more songs/verses than him
