that just means you dont like it as much
the more you like it = the more replay value
Replay value is entirely subjective
Well duh nigga this is art every opinion on it is most likely subjective
If an album stays with me for weeks, then its most likely better than an album ive listened to once
replay value is some arbitrary subjective value made up by people who don’t like nor have patience for an artist for reasons that go beyond music
americana strikes again. weren't u too in that old ass frank group chat on whatsapp
It's way better than Starboy for me don't know what's op listening or how he's listening it
Nope
Replay value is probably the most important thing to music
Can’t agree
I’ve heard quite a few albums that were very demanding listens but made a strong statement that stuck with me despite never/rarely returning to them

no sir lol
Feel like Album Cohesion is overrated.
I don't run through the whole thing every time. But I pick a different set to listen to depending.

The Weeknd is one of my favorite artists tho lol I'm not a blind Stan that d*** rides everything he puts out, this is just the way I felt about the album

If the music is good Im always gonna come back to it
In ur case those albums maybe did a good job expressing a message but they lacked on the music side of thingss; its a knock on them for sure
If I decide to listen to some Abel I’m definitely not considering playing anything on after hours over his other work
Definitely overrated
I played the album twice and never again. The music isn't trash or anything but I think I'm just over The Weeknd at this point.
This is music to play outside at night, even better if you are driving. Corona affected the experience for most of you.
Edit: OP probably doesn’t know how to drive.
you can’t make replay value in the same way you can make critical or commercial value in your music
replay value varies from person to person based on their patience and attitude towards you as an artist and it’s entirely out of your control
What the f*** lol U can absolutely make music thats replayable, u only need to make good music and thats pretty much it
And the same critique u throw ln replay value can be thrown at the critical reception of music lol
There’s never been a song that I loved and only listened to 1 time. If u only listened to an album once then u dont really like it like that

I don't think it's made up it just varies differently from person to person, just I because I play something constantly doesn't mean you do and vice versa. It's impossible to argue. I do think the term is abused in online conversation though.

nah
there are absolutely amazing albums and songs that i will never return to because i lack the patience to listen to the album front to back to truly appreciate the music
this isn’t due to a lack of some sort of replay-ability on the part of the artist in their music and it shouldn’t be a fault on the artist in any way it’s just because my alignment of taste leads me to not have the focus that a bigger fan of the artist would want

Explain albums like Thriller then. Seems pretty objectively replayable to me.
Is it just me or are you only saying this because you're a Drake stan?
