Love CLB because Drake just makes good music but he baffles me with his decisions sometimes. It felt like CLB was really gonna be a real concept. When the name was announced, it was obviously corny but I was excited because I thought it meant he'd really be tackling that image of him as this Lover Boy and either be an album filled with smooth love songs or flip it and show the failures of his love-life and how he can't seem to find that "one" that he's always believed in. It felt like the latter was the plan and you even get some of it in the album. Songs like TSU, N 2 Deep, Pipe Down, Get Along Better, Race My Mind, F***ing Fans all stick to that theme and unsurprisingly are the best songs on the album. I even liked Girls Want Girls (and the lesbian line) early in the album if it was supposed to be ironic and embrace the character.

“A combination of toxic masculinity and acceptance of truth which is inevitably heartbreaking." is the description he gave it in the description. That's such a dope theme and if he really went all in and turned the heart in hair + name + his whole career of being a "simp" into an album where he's honest about his flaws and paranoia regarding relationships, you would have gotten a classic. Instead he half-assed it and threw on tracks like Knife Talk, Papi's Home, Fountains, YOLT, and Kanye disses for whatever reason. I'm ranting atp but it's just crazy because it felt like Drake had this clear vision of the album after Scorpion and how it was gonna be concise and focused, and it just wasn't. Maybe it was COVID, maybe it was the leaks, this album just doesn't feel like the one we were supposed to get.

Drake had one verse on it that’s horribly underwritten. The record jumped the shark within like 3 months.

You get Thug, Future on a record you should do better than that IMO. They could get into the club with something way better than “I’m, too sexy for my shirt”

You hear some of the s*** on voice of the heroes and you just wonder how you end up with girls want girls and In the Bible dawg come onnn lol

Terrible, eh

But his worst album? Seems pretty plausible and I think his fans would even have a hard time naming a Drake album that sits beneath this one

Edit: I get it, y’all put this one above Views and Scorpion and More Life

its easily worse than views and more life. Views slander is tired at this point and the highs on Scorpion >>>>> CLB

An embarrassment of an album. Truly truly low effort and awful

But careful, Drake obsessers will attack you personally if you don’t think every single song and album drake makes is a masterpiece
