Not jaded cuz the numbers are diff, each era had hella niggas even underground doing millions of views. The amount of engagment alot of the newer acts who arent the big females could equate to like a yung lean in 2013 if even that. Even Lil Pump had a song hit a billion plays. Nettspend barely just got a million.

while i agree with u, i don’t think the numbers tell the full story, since covid i feel like “mainstream” music been on a downhill trend, with the exception of taylor swift none of the superstars are outselling their past releases
