Oh s***, Zara X Danny L 🤯
Imagine, she would turn that out. Full choreography moment with amazing visuals, that would stop the pop world
2020 really is her year, her songs have been heavily promoted, rightfully so because they are great and she seems to be the only pop major girl still pushing her album for the entire year, theres also going to be a remix album and b-side album coming out soon. Her label is taking care of her.
but dua lipa rly came up. she's having a great year
charli could be the biggest pop girl out but she decides to make left field music
Tbh I don't think so commercially, I don't see charli being a major commercial pop star again but I think her music will crossover if continues with this consistency. She will end up being the inspiration of upcoming pop stars like Robyn
Charli is ahead of the curve, the girls can't get on her level even the indie girls.
Charli is my favourite pop artist of the 2010s tbh.
She isn't as commercial as a lot of the artists mentioned ITT. But Pop 2 and Charli are 2 of the best pop projects in ages. Number One Angel and How I'm Feeling Now are great too
She writes more than all of them, has more interesting production and she's been racking up more hits than most people who only try to make commercial music:
Icona Pop, Charli XCX - I Love It
Iggy, Charli - Fancy
Charli - Boom Clap
Charli - 1999
Selena - Same Old Love
Sean, Camila - Senorita
There's nothing she can't do In the UK she's had even more hits too. Boys was almost one really given the streams on that over time. She got subtle Gold-certified US songs too like the one she wrote for Madison with Offset.
Her first great song came out almost a decade ago, she's been doing this for years. Gone is also my favourite pop song of the last few years. Christine and the Queens another incredible female writer
What other popstar can write on Senorita and feature on a 100 Gecs remix at the same time
It used to the norm back then. It's a smart move because she can promote the album longer and it can have much more longevity and keep her coins intact.
yeah i know i just meant i thought it was cool for Dua to do rn.
Remix albums and deluxes coming back at the same time feels kinda perfect given how music is now competing with less entertainment industries cos of the lockdown cancelling everything being filmed etc.
charli could be the biggest pop girl out but she decides to make left field music
this could be true, but it seems like she would have had more shelf life if she'd carried on down the Boom Clap/Sucker lane
she is a really big figure in pop anyway tho, just look at the writing credits and all the connections she makes through working with so many different artists. A lot of people can sell more than her but I don't think they'll be remembered as positively in decades from now

Charli will get her flowers, she just needs to keep at it. Keep upping her game. Gone was supposed to be huge. That song is gigantic
I don’t think many people expected this album to be so fun. Quickly dismissed as cheesy big room House music but had gems like these and was so true to form
!https://youtu.be/iQkUzCPSXQc!https://youtu.be/4Sl19NGwMsAyeah he's just really talented. he could do a lot i'm sure if he wants to

Exactly, I wish she could dance, some of her songs deserve a full on choreography moment.

I hate that she worked with cameltoe but I hope she doesn't again

yeah, did it not get support or did it not catch on?
That's the kind of song I feel like i could play to every generation i know and they'd all love it
But I feel like her music is bigger than it seems cos of her writing and the impact of it.
I saw her make some of the greatest 21st century albums lists going round the big publications so i think she'll be remembered now. idk if she'll ever have a massive global album or song tho

I feel like she will when people realize her genius, she will have a call your girlfriend moment where both critical and commercial success combine.
