One thing that was always entertaining on hip hop albums was the presence of weed carriers.
Feels like in this day and age no one is giving them screen time anymore (pause)

I too have noticed the absence of weed carrier verses. They had a certain charm to them.

Fetty wap got a hit song with like 2 or 3 weed carriers on the song this is unheard of
One of them was a serial killer and almost had the song canceled too

I never heard about the song being cancelled lol but yeah it was hilarious at the time how Fetty had them on everything

Fetty Wap tried to put on his weed carriers and they held him back. Its better to have them in the background doing merch or promotional stuff

There are no more weed carriers because a weed carrier can ascend to the same level of the star with the right song, video and IG posts. Weed carriers are damn near celebrities already because of the proximity to the rappers so they just gotta catch the right song. Thug’s label is perfect example of this. Everyone making the same type of music as him and they all probably have relatively decent followings, enough to get consistently booked and features and s***. Or how Jackboy or WizDaWizard were random niggas in Kodak entourage (to us as casual listeners not tapped in to whatever going on in FL) and within a year or two of us even knowing who they were fr they had their own followings.

Also assuming we’re just using weed carrier as a vague term for niggas in the entourage because there is no purpose for actual weed carriers anymore lol
