I noticed so many rappers mentioned this before. Especially the street rappers today are drill rappers. I remember Young Thug/Anuel AA mentioned this once in an interview.

It gotta do more so with how Street niggas move than music / popular culture acceptance.

Street niggas have always been stars in music.

Yeah but we have never seen a street rapper get on Drake/Eminem level. Why I mention them is because of there fame and how many attendees come to their shows. Is ridiculous if you look it up. Especially someone like Eminem. We have yet to see a street rapper rise to those lengths. I heard even Future/Migos couldn't do it without Drake headlining.

50 Cent, Snoop Dogg and Jay Z are “street” rappers but no one thinks of them in this convo because they know how to make actual songs on any type of beat and story tell. Them niggas were and are worldwide superstars. 50 still doing tours overseas off of 2 and a half solid albums from almost 20 years ago.

I think 21 is a good example of someone modern who breaks the mold. Can rap on almost any beat and still has his same swag, almost reminds me of a southern Snoop type of thing. Bro threw me off with the 40 song on HL

The word you should replace “street” with is trap lol
