Is this article fact checked? I’m gonna look through it, but it sounds pretty crazy if this is true.

Some of these are given MUCH more credit to France than need be.

How was France involved in Ironsi of Nigeria that was a military dictator who got countercouped by the army in the lead up to the civil war. There was no French involvement

Some of these are likely and suspected but not even confirmed France. France has had their share but this is exaggerated

That’s what I’m saying. I think we can broadly assert that European/Anglo developed countries are responsible for 100% of the s*** going on in Africa right now, but to say that all of this is France seems like a misdirection.

The African Exponent is rated as a questionable source and has printed stories that failed IFCN fact checking before

Yeah I feel like whoever made this blew the chance to talk about and investigate a wide issue that reaches far beyond just France. Simple write ups could have helped too

Just gave us a list and left it lmao

That brother was the truth..can’t imagine what he would of accomplished if he had lived.

He would of did big things for the whole continent.

He was only like 30 when he became president and started launching all those social programs uplift his people. Example of a great man

Most of these go deep with African politics, the most infamous one, Juvénal
Habyarimana's assassination led to the Rwandan genocide. It's unlikely it was by the French because French people died in that plane and he was very negotiable in worldwide discussions.

Definitely some foul play by France, but 22 is a lot.

Abdirachid-Ali Shermake had nothing to do with France btw. He was killed for petty s*** iirc, barely political and it had to do with the on-going unrest in Somalia at the time. After he got killed it led to a coup d'etat led by Siad Barre

Lumumba was Belgium mostly. Could have been US if they waited just a bit longer cus CIA green lighted his poisoning but were too late

Poynter also operates Politifact which shows its limitations regularly. Using fact checkers as a broad authority on a specific statement like the OP which they did not even evaluate does not say much.

UK kept G-checking lil France so much that they started taking frustration out on other countries.

Little baguettes know they can’t fw anybody else on their own continent lmaooo
