You can do it, but you're probably going to lose the dispute if they care enough to represent their side with the bank.

Read your parking guidelines and see if they'll waive something like the first ticket for forgetting a parking pass. Or just contact the parking services too. Can't hurt to try. Especially since your pass was valid, you just forgot to put it up.
