…they’re not. People like that listen to people like Eminem and NF and Logic. Those people would listen to one of Jack’s songs, hear his drums, and then call it mumble rap. You think a rapper making songs with EST Gee, Pooh Sheisty and Lil Baby is attracting that type of crowd?
Not saying where people don’t check for his music, just not those white people.
Again I said he makes music for G-eazy, macklemore, post malone listeners. they don't like rap but listen to white rappers and rap affiliates like them.
I'd agree w/ this back in 2018 but I think white people in general listen to a lot more urban music now from what I've seen. Streaming numbers generally back this up & the explosion in popularity of artists like Durk/Gunna/Lil Baby. Lil Baby's last album selling 4m doesn't happen without a huge amount of white people listening to him. Artists like NF/Logic/Geazy etcetc don't really get much attention anymore
I’m not denying that, that’s obvious
I’m just saying the very niche subset of white people that “only listen to real music” aren’t checking for Jack’s music like they think they are.
Why do you think his last album didn't do so hot? What's Poppin is bigger than any Lil Baby song ever yet Lil Baby's last album to date has sold like 2-3x more than his.
Lil Baby has a 9x Platinum song. Whats Poppin is 6x Platinum and needed a superstar rap remix to get there.
Just looked up Jacks certs
His 2020 album is platinum
What’s Poppin is 6x platinum
Industry Baby is 4x platinum
Has another platinum single and 3 other gold singles
also headlined a tour
I’m just saying the gap is not as big as you think
Lil baby’s 2020 album is 4x platinum
The gap between them is wide. Baby a future goat who got the game in a headlock.
Harlow a teeny bopper pop rapper
So does drake though lol
Nah. There was a viral meme comparing him and Dj Khlad to shark restaurant workers, who typically Arab
You know what. This post makes a lot of sense after reading through OP’s threads. She’s a b**** ass hater and needs to stop being miserable.
MISOGYNY ALERT‼️‼️‼️

4 million (last baby album) - 1 million (jacks last album and whats poppin is 600k of that) = 3 million difference 💀💀

I'm not saying Jack doesn't have impressive stats as well.
I'm just saying that people keep bringing up Jack's mainstream appeal like Baby doesn't have mainstream appeal either.
Jack is obviously gonna have an edge but Baby's been mainstream for quite a while now and Jack don't even got the features that Baby got which is another thing.

I hate when trolls see that people are having genuine conversation and come in just to be annoying

yea so seems like lil baby is an album seller & jack a singles seller.
To flip the famous Berkeley philosophical conundrum
If a song is released and it doesn't chart does it make a sound?
I noticed this to. White people who be listening to pop and rock slisten to harlow but no other rappers.
Its that same crowd who was into the g eazy and halsey collabs
Jack and Baby in 2022 really not that far apart commercially
You are absolutely bugging if you don't think Jack will do six figures with this next album. 2020 was 2020
yea so seems like lil baby is an album seller & jack a singles seller.
Jack Harlow only has one album to his name. Lil Baby didn't get a 4x Platinum album till his sophomore album and Lil Baby's debut album is still certified Platinum — same with Jack's debut album.

nobody knows lil baby outside of the us and I love lil baby more than jack
meanwhile every b**** on my TL sharing First Class
Lil Baby has 4 albums (2 solo/2 collabs). Jack has just 1 album. Gotta give it time.

Only the US and maybe Canada matters when it comes to rap
Basically, Jack has the potential to be a bigger commercial act but we still have to see cause Baby's stats are bigger rn.
His biggest album sold more. He has mixtapes that went Gold and Plat. He has feature stats and a feature run. He has an almost Diamond single and another single that's halfway Diamond. He has a song that was basically a modern anthem to the 2020 Protests.
Jack still has to prove himself after his album drops. Ya'll can't fall back on marketability for everything.
Russ could sell out an arena in Seattle and Portland quicker than Future rn but does that mean Russ is a bigger commercial act than Future?
Jack might end up being bigger.
Nah I doubt it tbh.
Baby got the culture at the palm of his hands right now. Jack is just the flavor of the quarter pop rapper. People been doubting Baby for the last couple years and he’s showing he’s not letting up his position as the top dawg right now.

we had racism
we had misogyny
now you doing xenophobia
we really playing all the hits here

They’re really tryna downplay Baby to big up Drakes version of Cordae

Cole isn't that worldwide either but he was always considered Big 3.
Someone here said that Wiz was more than twice as popular as Cole in his home country.(I think Germany).
